Winx Club Saving Alfea coming to the US October 28
Amazon listing
It costs 29.99 instead of the usual 39.99 which means this is a budget price.
I can't find the developer but I have to admit that LittleOrbits history hasn't been all that great so far. The have had mediocre games such as Young Justice Legacy and Barbie Dreamhouse Party, along with seemingly unfinished games like Monster High 13 Wishes.
And yes I will be doing a review.

Nick DVD Scavenger Hunt
Paramount Pictures has released all of Seasons 4 and 5 on DVD in English.
Season 4
The first 7 episodes were released bundled with "Secret of the lost Kingdom" Sadly this is the only release of Season 4 so far in the US
The UK and Australia were treated with a second DVD that has the next 7 episodes, Sadly they have not released any DVDs of Season 4 Since.
With that being said, Paramount actually released all of Season 4 in places like Brazil and the DVDs have English Audio.
Season 5
Like with Season 4, the first 7 episodes of Season 5 were bundled with "Magical Adventure"
The UK received the full release of Season 5 across 4 DVDs like Season 4
The Season 5 DVDs are easy to find but you will have to search through Brazilian websites to find the Season 4 DVDs

Winx Club Believix in You
Since the 4kids Dub ended, Video Game rights for Winx Club switched from Konami to Namco Bandai in Europe. A lot of people don't like Bandai because while they do make ok games with nice graphics, their minimal effort clearly shows. But Namco Bandai gives different developers the job to develop a lot of games while they are simply the publishers. That being said.....Namco Bandai........ WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU GIVE DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS TO A COMPANY THAT HAS ONLY DEVELOPED CELL PHONE APPS.
Anyway, the game was developed by Foward Games, A company who unfortunatley have only made cell phone app games. This is their first and as of now only console game.
So does that make this game bad, hmmm..... not really. The problem isn't that this game is bad, but it just feels like a bad cell phone app, which isn't surprising. With that being said, the developers clearly did the best with what they knew how.
Story:
Just a heavily simplified Season 4.
Gameplay:
You start the game out with t a bunch of still images of the girls going to earth to open up the love and pet shop and talking about the "Sorcerers of the Black
Circle" as they are called in this game. You play through the game in Episodes and weeks and each episode you have a different objective. Mostly it will be to earn enough money in the love and pet shop, but sometimes you will have to win enough battles against the Wizards, Spend time with your boyfriends and also help people believe in Magic.
You do all of this through playing mini-games. You will always start off with the main screen. At the top of the screen it has a picture of gardenia also giving what week it is and how many credits you have. On the bottom screen you have the objective on the left and the status on the right. Depending on the objective your status could change from "Battles Won" to "Relationship level". You have to make sure this status is maxed out before you can continue to the next Episode.
At the bottom of the screen you have all 6 girls to choose from, you must play as all the girls to finish 1 week and continue to the next. When you select a girl you be brought to her profile menu. At the top screen it shows her Relax level and Love level along with her horoscope. Relax and Love will determine how useful this Winx is in Battle and if the weekly objective is related, then this will help max out the status on the main screen. The horoscope shows happy, calm and sad faces for "Work, Relax, Love and Believix".
The bottom screen has the many different activities you can assign to said girl. They are activities that play out through mini-games:
Work:
Credits +
Relax -
Relax:
Relax +

Love:

Believix:
I'm sorry I forgot what Believix takes and gives
As you can see above, the mini games give and take things.
Credits are either needed to finish an episode or play other mini-games
Relax gives you magic points for battle
Love I believe gives you health
This part of the game should have been expanded upon as it's easily the most interesting feature.
There is also a free play mode where you can play any mini-game you want and a multiplayer mode where you can play against someone else who has the game.(HA!)
Overall this game should have been given to a different developer. They tried their best with what they had but they probably didn't have the tools to make a great game.
I give this game 2 Wings down

Mini-games
I'm not going to go into the Mini-games much since they really aren't worth talking about. They are more of a chore than they are fun
There are 19 mini-games in all
Each girl has her very own Work game and her very own Believix game. There are 4 relax games and 2 love games.
None of these games are very interesting. They range from pressing buttons to make a fairy pet dance to holding an umbrella over a couple so they don't get wet (???). Some are even heavily glitched and have control issues.
But the best thing in the whole game is the Battle game.
Depending on how you performed over the week, each girl will have an efficiency level telling you how useful they will be in battle. If your Love and Relax were high, then your Magic Points and Heath will be high and Vice Verca. In the very first Battle you will only have two attacks which are shield and Bolt which both cost no Magic points. Over the Course of the game the girls will unlock more Believix Powers/ The downside to this is that all the attacks and shields look the same. Before each battle the top screen will give you hints such as "use your shields to defeat enemy's" ect.
This part of the game should have been expanded upon as it's easily the most interesting feature.

Pop Pixie set to premiere on Nickelodeon UK in the summer
Grant White from Toonzone reports that Pop Pixie is one of many shows on Nickelodeon U.Ks Summer Line-up.
The main Nickelodeon channel will see the addition of Pop Pixie, a spin off of the popular Winx Club series focussing on the Pixie side characters as they have their own adventures in Pixieville starting this month. Winx Club itself is also set to return for a brand new season soon after. Fans of the show should also look out for new episodes of the similar Mia and Me, starting February.
http://www.toonzone.net/2014/02/nickelodeon-reveals-hot-animated-summer-lineup/
Pop Pixie is a spin-off of Winx Club starring the Pixies. The Pixies have gone through many changes such as Digit now being a male, the pixies overall body structure and overall seems to be in a different universe from Winx. If I could compare it to any other show it would be Trollz.

Winx Club: Original Season 2 DVD to be released June 10, 2014
The Shadow Phoenix will rise again!
These listings on Amazon.com confirm that New Video Group will also release Season 2 of the Rai English Dub.As you know, Season 2 introduces new characters like:
Lord Darkar
Aisha/Layla
The Pixies
And How could we ever forget Dark Bloom
Oh my....
Are you excited for Season 2?
Winx DVDs: Clearing the Air
So which dub is it?Well judging by the fact the "New Video Group" decided to add the word "Original" to this DVD release, It should be pretty obvious that this is the Rai English Dub. Sadly their are a lot of people who seem to think this may be the 4kids dub. Let me give some reasons why I am positive that this is in fact the Rai English Dub.
1.) 4kids doesn't have the Winx license anymore.
When Rainbow revoked 4kids of the Winx Club license they had to cancel the DVD release of Winx Club: Fire and Flame which was the 2nd half of Season 3.
If 4kids couldn't even release the last 13 episodes of Winx that they had, why would they go back and re-release Season 1 which is still easy to find online.
2.) 4KMedia (what is left of 4kids) stated that they are working on Yu-Gi-Oh related products and have not made mention of anything else.
http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/23540.html
New Video Group is in fact releasing the original 4kids Dub of Yu-Gi-Oh on DVD, but that release is distributed by 4K media while Winx is not.
3.) Netflix has the Rai English dub and episode titles even though it lists the 4kids voice actors.
Amazon.com lists the 4kids voice actors but the episode titles in the DVD's description are from the Rai English dub. The Rai English voice actors aren't exactly well known so It is logical why they are quickly overlooked for the 4kids voice actors. Also the New Video Group website states that they upload some of their products on Netflix so there is your connection.

4.) The Witches aren't called the Trix in the 4kids dub.
For the 2nd Volume to mention the Trix while the 4kids dub does not call the Witches the Trix should let you know that this is not the 4kids dub.
Notice Bloom and Stella's outfits
So there you have it!
I will be reviewing the DVDs when they are released.
The officiall Website states that Vol.1 will be released on the 11th of March while Vol.2 along with the Box set is released on the 25th of March. Unfortunately all online retailers say that all 3 will be released on the 25th of March, so we will just have to wait and see.
Off Topic: Would you guys like me to review the Totally Spies Season 1-3 Box set too!
